President and CEO
Lont holds a Master of Economics from Vrije University in Amsterdam. He joined Statnett in February 2009, leaving the position of Managing Director with the consulting company Econ Pöyry Analysis, Norway. Lont has previously held positions as Senior Vice President Statoil, Nordic Energy, Senior Economist and Managing Director Econ Analysis, Cape Town, and Managing Director of Naturkraft AS, and has more than 20 years of experience from the energy industry. Auke Lont is a member of the Board of Directors of Gasunie in the Netherlands and Chairman of the Board of the Institute for Energy Technology, Norway.
Executive Vice President Commercial Development Division
Hagem holds a Master Degree in Industrial Economy from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. She is head of the Commercial Development Division in Statnett. The Commercial Development Division's responsibilites involves facilitation and design of the European electricity market, invoicing grid access services, performing weekly settlement of the wholesale market and issuing guaranties of origin and green certificates.
Hagem has been active in Nordic and European TSO cooperation since 2001 and is currently chairing the ENTSO-E North West Europe Regional Group with the main goal of delivering price coupling in the region. She is also a board member of NPS AS. Before joining Statnett she was a Vice President in Statoil ASA for ten years.
Executive Vice President CFO and Chief of Staff
Hundhammer graduated from the Norwegian Army Academy and holds an MBA degree from the Wharton School of Business. He joined Statnett in May 2011 and is group responsible for Finance, Controlling, Risk management, Procurement, HR and Legal. Previously, he has served as EVP/CFO of Finansbanken ASA and as CFO/SVP of Høegh Autoliners. He has also been President of the commercial shipping division of the Klaveness group, and has worked with McKinsey & Co as a consultant.
Executive Vice President Projects Division
Borgen holds a Msc Electrical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and Technische Hochschule Darmstadt (THD) in Germany, and has studied project
management at BI Norwegian School of Management. Borgen is in charge of the Projects Division, which performs detailed planning and execution of Statnett's portfolio of projects. He has previously held senior executive posts at Statnett and BBK and numerous board position in the industry.
Øivind K. Rue
Executive Vice President Grid Operations
Rue holds a degree in politics from the University of Oslo. He is Executive Vice President at Statnett, with system responsibility and asset management responsibility for the main grid. Rue is also Statnett’s emergency response officer. He has previously held senior executive posts at Statnett. Rue is head of the Regional Group Nordic in ENTSO-E and is responsible for coordinating the Nordic synchronous system area. He is a former Director of Saga Petroleum ASA and Assistant Director General of the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Rue is a board member of Export Credit Norway.
Gunnar G. Løvås is Executive
Vice President for Strategy and Communication
Løvås holds a PhD in mathematics. He is in head of the Strategy and Communication Division and is group responsible for corporate strategy, national grid development planning, R&D, Statnett's consultancy services and communications. Løvås has worked with Statnett since 1994, in different positions in system planning, system operations and project execution. He is a native of Stavanger.
Peer Olav Østli
Executive Vice President Information and Telecommunication Technologies (ICT)
Østli holds a Cand.Scient. (Master of Science) Degree in Informatics and also has post-graduate management training from Henley Management College. He is group responsible for development of operating and market systems, ICT infrastructure, ICT strategy, IT user services and ERP systems. He has over 20 years’ experience of technology management from the telecom, media and IT industries, including various positions with Telenor and Schibsted.
